Cleaning

Does anyone have any short cuts on how to clean their buggy, with some sort of spray etc to get the mud off? At the moment, having to strip the entire buggy down, and then clean the parts is all getting a tad laborious, so any labour saving tips will be much appreciated.

Cheers.

spray it with wd40 before using it keeps the dirt from sticking

I also have a cheap compressor from B&Q, an airline is such a useful thing to have.

I have a little cheap ultrasonic machine (sub 30 quid) cleans wishbones, towers and anything else you can fit in it a treat, dead handy for all sorts, I do my glasses in there and it's like seeing in HD! :D

I wish I'd seen this post before my first cleaning attempt!

I used brake and clutch cleaner for the metal parts, the suspension basically. An armorall dashboard spray for the plastic and a couple of paintbrushes. I got scared and didn't touch the bearings. I know they need cleaning but I'm not sure what to do. I've seen clips on YouTube of people popping them open and spraying air through them??? Do I need to apply grease to them too?

I just spray my bearings with wd40

Ah, so do you take them apart and spray them?

Nope, leave them in the hubs with the driveshafts/stub axles still in place, spray wd40 then spin the shafts by hand to work in the spray

No problem mate

Remove bearings, get RPM bearing blaster and use WD40 or GT85 to flush bearings. It does work, takes minutes and only costs a few quid.
