which LiPo?
evening gentlemen.what LiPo would you choose, the trakpower 7.4v 4900mah or the core-rc 5000 mah 7.4v? i've ruled out the reedy and orion because they are more £,and the venom because i dont like the vented case.i'm not so interested in the trakpower 5400mah because its only 16c continuous discharge.havent considered any others yet.

From what I've seen of the TrakPowers they look very good and I hope to have a play with some soon.

trakpower 3200's are more than enough. I ran for 12 mins last weekend during practice - and that's with a 6.5 brushless in a b44 on a high grip grass track.
|
another consideration is the back up from trakpower, many on here will vouch how good it is even when its benn user/equipment failure
noby what will you be using them in and for? |
I can certainly vouch for the customer service from TrakPower...superb!
As regards the TrakPower stick packs, the 5400 has a lower continuous discharge rate at 16C compared to the 4900 which has 25C...so this should translate into more punch. |
Haven't used the Trackpowers but the CORE ones are ace! The Yeah! Racing 3200's I got from RCMart are really good too though and are cheap as chips

hi Mark
i'll be using it in a rb5 with a novak xbr & ex 10.5.just for fun at first but later maybee some racing.raced at me local club a bit back in '87 '88,dont know if they race off road any more though, looks like it might have all gone touring cars now. |
the 3200 or 4900 will be fine, the later giving more run time from one charge
|
i use the core rc 5000 mah and both my cars the rb5 and the zx5 both go like rockets
|
thanks guys.i'm going for the trakpower.should be here by the weekend, cant wait!
|
I've got a trak power 4900, orion 3600 and 4800, and two trakpower 3200 saddles, I can't tell any difference between any of them to be honest. Yes some will last longer but they are all more than enough to last a 5 min race.
Good choice on switching to lipo, one of the best things to come into RC for years |
