Fitting staggered rib fronts

Has anyone had any problems fitting Schumacher staggered ribbed fronts to the Hobao wheels?

Standard or low-profile? I fitted some low profiles which were fiddly, but fitted nicely with some gentle persuasion.

Low profiles.

What form did the gentle persuasion take?

wheels

hi there have you cut the rims down or left them standard i cut my down and they fit perfect

The "gentle persuasion" just involved a bit of brute force to get the tyre on the rim and then followed by "massaging" the tyres/inserts until they felt even.

I just left the rims standard - although they may change on friday after i've given this set their first run. So far I've only ran my losi wheels.

On low profile staggers you don't run inserts and cut rim to narrow

I've just sorted them, thanks to the advice on here and from Ben Jemison.

I used a circular, thin blade-disc on a Dremel to cut the wheels - taking off the portion from the innermost edge to the first ridge. Then I smoothed down the remaining ridge to make the wheel surface flat.

No inserts but a carefully applied dab of glue between the bead of the tyre and the edges of the wheel.

On another note - how do you upload images on here? Do you need them to be on another 3rd party site first?
