cat sx3 s1 required upgrades?

Hi. I have spotted new s1 kits at 169.99.
This seems like a bargain. Does it need any upgrades or is it pretty good out of the box?
Don't really want to spend £300 on a k1 im only club racing.
Is the k1 a huge improvement? i don't think im a good enough driver to tell the difference anyway!
Anyone got any advice please? Thanks

The SX3 is still a very capable car, especially at club level. At that price they are a bargain, electirc install can be a little bit tough due to the middle belt but with care you can achieve a neat and tidy job.
I would suggest getting the Bando belts, alloy front upper transmission housings and suspension pivot blocks.

The SX3 s1 is a fantastic car. Even just out of the box. I agree to putting the front alloy upper gear box. I'm only at club level and the first 3 weeks at club i won the finals, good result for me. Then started to qualify for the B final. Went to the K1, all down hill from there. Now the K1 is going on the market. And going back to the SX3 s1. Great Strong car, you will enjoy. Good luck.

SX3 is an amazing car! as said above, 3 hole pistons and a few spring variations and away you go. Most important thing is getting the electrics in without touching the belts. But if your careful and take your time then its ok.
