Lazy goo for places that are for more of a semi-permanent fix and blu tack for others.

Your right......... but it works

Stick with the lazy goo. £5 a can and lasts ages mines still on the Rx and ESC from last year!

GRIFF55 21-03-2013 08:47 PM

There is only one choice....LAZY GOOOOOOO!

makinwaves 21-03-2013 09:06 PM

You know that!

I have used LazyGoo in the past and found it to be really good and comes off the electrics clean when removed.

Some other racers use PlastiDip also. Large cans so will go a long way and in varied colours too.

Remember with a servo to put a GENEROUS amount of lub where the gears are to stop water ingress through past the servo output spline.I also run some over where the wire comes out even though its in a rubber grommit just to be sure.

Ideally the motor needs to keep the timing/sensor ring dry. Depending on what motor you have you will need to find a way to acomplish this.

lazygoo

yeah i have used lazygoo and yes its great, but over half a can left and its gone solid/useless. I have bluetack on stuff at the moment.

was wondering if there was another option.

hence the question.

whats plastidip? can you let me know where to get it?

http://www.plastidip.co.uk/

The GM stuff looks like conformal coating (a type of varnish). http://cpc.farnell.com/electrolube/a...ing/dp/SA00362

If you go the conformal coating route I'd advise caution, it's designed to protect the PCBs and will insulate the pins in an rx if you don't mask them first! Spektrum already do this with their Rxs (as I'm sure others do)
