i have changed out all the electrical on it with new stuff, it came with a novak t1 esc that was a racing esc back in the day it had a motor limit of 13 turn brushed! it is indeed a staudium truck!

and yes i am aware that i hooked up the deans plugs backwards! i messed up on the first one and decided to hell with it im too tired to re do it! so i just went with it!

i cant seem to find any info on that "truck"

usagi 19-07-2008 07:06 PM

It was based on the Pro-x buggy a few years ago.....it wasn't very popular in this country.
Try rc-tech forums http://www.rctech.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=4 they might be able to give you more info.
For parts, try ebay.com....they sometimes appear on there.

online manual for the buggy, but should give you most of the build info you may need.

omg thank you sooo much you just saved me like 4 hours of dealing with kyosho and not understanding a single word they say!

bondy 19-07-2008 08:01 PM

popular ?

It wasnt popular because the gearbox would not last 5 mins. The team tried them in practise at basildon at the worlds if I remember then went back to the Triumph ?? I had the buggy and tons of spares but could not get a race out of it !!

funny you must be really hard on them because i ive had the same gear box in this one since i first put it together and never had a problem

Well when I was at the Ayre Valley Nationals, Bob Gammon chucked his quite a fair distance and said it was the most rubbish car he had ever raced. Then he said he was no longer driving Kyosho for 2wd and is gonna drive Associated at the worlds. Nuff said really, rubbish, but looked the biz. Gear box was not a very good design and the spares need for it were ridiculous, looks were very decieving with this car as it didnt work well at all.

ok how about the new stadium trucks? like this one: http://rc-car.com/ME2/dirmod.asp?sid...5E67F595C72F76

did kyosho finally get the idea of making good gear boxes? or was it just that model that had problems?

that pis auctualy pretty funny i just like 2 days ago threw away the original battery pack i bought for it, it was indeed a 1400 sanyo battery pack!

i upgraded it to a 2000.... i figure its just a play car now so why put a 60 dollar battery pack in it right?

Welshy40 03-08-2008 11:51 AM

Well the PRO-X was the only one that was no good. The RB5 Type R and the newer versions are superb. I had the Type R over here and was a well built kit. I also liked the Triumph as well, even though a lot of people didnt, but I think Jamie Booth won the 2wd nats with it so it wasnt a bad buggy at all either.

Funny you say that. Craig Harris bet me that I couldnt do a season with 1400 SCRs and I used a 10 Double Corally in my Lazer ZXR geared on 8.5 ish to one and lasted for the race time (Ok if I didnt crash). I finished 3rd in Wales which wasnt bad considering.
