DEX410 small bore mounts

Just want to check im not being stupid here. I've got a 410v3 and have just bought small bores off here for it, however by the looks of things i need different mounts, is that correct?

I had a look in the old 410 manual and the part numbers bring up front and rear mounts, do i need to also get these then?

Small bores use a small offset on one end and a large offset on the other, big bores use a big offset on both ends.

So you need new mounts if you go small bore to big bore. And no change if you go the other way.

I would've thought you can fit them on the mounts you already have, just pop the balls out of the shock tops if they're fitted.

The only difference on the mounts was that they put a rear one on the front for the big bores to stop it rubbing on the driveshaft, the bottom fits the same, so using small bores on big bore mounts shouldn't be a prob.

It won't bean issue. As already posted the bigger offset was just for drive shaft clearance on the 410.

Not gonna lie, still not fully getting my head around this.

It looks if i pop the ball out the small bores, that the hole in the shock cap looks bigger on the big bores.

it isn't. Do you have the plastic mounts? They pop straight into either cap. But the parts in the last post are far better. But not essential. Just get the rear/longer ones I if you do get them. The shorts aren't really needed.

Hole in the cap is actually bigger from the other side.
I use this kind of tool to install ball to cap.
