mini revo wheels on losi mini 8ight

Im thinking of putting mini e revo wheels on my mini 8 and i was wandering what gearing should i be looking at? Will a 12 tooth pinion be best Or could i push my luck and use a 14 tooth pinion?

try 12 then after about 5 mins check how hot the esc and motor gets
if the esc gets too hot it should thermal and cut out before that
if just warm then try 14
12 will get hot enough i think

ill try and find some smaller pinions like 10 tooth just incase
