Hi all, id like some info regarding the regional on sunday, i have never been to any of the NE venues so i would like to know if there is 1) mains power instead of carrying 12v batts around 2)tables and chairs for pitting and is there a limited number if there are. 3) will there be catering and 4) will there be a shop on hand for those necessary bits you always need on race day.

Cheers

aye, I would like to know if there will be pleanty of power points too.
fed up with carrying the 12v around!.........I'm a lazy sod aren't I?

My main concern right now is getting the car here before the weekend, it was sent from florida on 12th october. supposedly its a 3-5 working day service but its not here yet and there is no update on the tracking note to say where it is since the 14th.

i think im gonna go and cry:p

daz 18-10-2006 06:41 PM

if i remember from last years regional there was mains power, and table and chairs but limited and there was a bar upstairs serving beer and refreshments.

Stu 18-10-2006 07:07 PM

Yeah - there is a bar :)

Northy 18-10-2006 09:25 PM

Lol :D

There is a premier travel inn on the washington highway just off the A19 (about 5-10 mins from the track) that could be useful. Usually about £40 for the room.

Sunderland West
Wessington Way
Castletown
Sunderland
Tyne & Wear

Sorry guys, been off air a few days but hopefully here are some 'late' answers.

Accommodation (Travel Lodge) about 4 miles from venue
http://www.travelodge.co.uk/find_a_h...eWhitemarePool

Travel Inn (approx 3 miles from venue)
http://www.premiertravelinn.com/pti/...?hotelId=24246

an even closer Travel Inn (the one in wacattack's post above)
http://www.premiertravelinn.com/pti/...?hotelId=23994
(both of these at £48 per room on week-ends I think)

Electricity supplied (although it will probably help if you bring along an extension)
There may be tables and chairs (unsure as there is a function upstairs in the bar :o ) so maybe pack your own just in case.
Don't worry - there is a conservatory bar downstairs and that will be open :drunken:
Food: Nissan have promised us a 'burger van style' outside from 9.00am (this is because of upstairs function)
Failing that :jimmeh 's favourite food supplier is about 2 miles away Mmm

Hope you all have fun! I will not be there as I am still at home in recuperation mode after some spinal surgery.

Any other questions - drop me a mail

I am not sure what time the guys are building the track and to be honest, the sports hall is in the middle of a field away from the Nissan Factory and sight of anyone.
I would recommend keeping your gear with you preferrably in your room

Hello all,

I oringinally wasn't able to make this weekend but my situation changed in the week and I can now (Yay).

After Derek sent that email out saying there was 70 odd booked in already and priority given to pre booked so basically to make sure you did it, so I did!

Is there any way of confirming I'm booked in? I ask as I'm driving up from South Wales to Durham for this and it's fair to say might be a little peeved if I found out I didn't have a place.

I realise emailing Derek is the most obvious but I'm at my mothers and don't have his or Brians email here.

mmm
because of the X5 avatar and the Dan part - I am guessing it is Dan Greenwood??
If so, you do appear on our list of entrants

Have a good day!

PS - Don't go to Durham, we now race at Nissan Factory (directions are in another thread on here)

Very good skills indeed, my mind is much assured! ;)

It's always going to be Durham for me, still the same place as always though right?

Cheers,

Dan

Still the sports club at Nissan Motors Factory :)

emzy 21-10-2006 05:05 PM

I un-entered myself for 2wd this morning (so I'm only doing 4wd)... although I'm not sure if it'll have registered in time... madness.

Stu 22-10-2006 08:30 PM

NERCC Regional. Certainly not the best action pic's I've taken - the lighting in the Nissan sports hall is very poor.
Also some random stuff from our weekend up in't North East. The two fellas busking need to go and see Simon Cowall - they really do have the X-Factor(y).

jimmy 22-10-2006 08:45 PM

Awesome photos stu, I know how bad the lighting is in there. Shame I couldn't make it up but vicky was working and pricey was doing his bathroom! so I was building cars instead.

Stu 22-10-2006 09:05 PM

F1.8 & 1600 ISO - they were never gonna be the best.
The good ones are the random people shots that G took.
