Core Pace 45R ESC

I've just built up a SS and for convenience purchased the Core GT12 power pack.

Everything works well, except that when I brake or reverse the ESC 'pulses' the motor varying the speed of reverse or the amount of braking.

I'm using it completely as stock, Speed Passion 13.5R and the Core 1S LiPo.

I've tried playing around with the settings using the settings box but whatever I have done to it the pulsing has remained. If I disable reverse the pulsing is still there on braking. I've reset the ESC to factory setting and it still does the same.

I have fully charged the LiPo and replaced the sensor lead (making sure it's definitely in the motor and ESC) as well as making sure that the ABS function is turned off on the Tx. The only thing I haven't done is put a 2S (but I can't see how this would make any difference as the ESC is designed to be run on 1S).

I've emailed Schumacher support to ask the question (never having had one of these ESC before I don't know if this is normal or not) but thought I'd pop a post up here asking if anyone else has the same behaviour from their ESC?

Cheers,

Ian

Got exactly the same in a couple of my cars, albeit with different batteries and neither does that

Mine does not do what you have described. Mine is stock settings with the Lipo cutoff disabled.

Cheers guys.

Looks like it'll be going back then :(

If it is only in reverse Ian, does the Core RC radio have an ABS function?

Yes it does Steve and it's turned off.

I'm at work at the moment but I'll fiddle some more when I get home, I've been thinking since my original post (boring meeting!) that I changed around an old model rather than giving it a new one; I'll set it up on a new model and see if something else in the configuration menu is causing it.

I really hope I don't have to send it back.

Managed to sort it

Started afresh on a new model on the Tx and also did another reset of the ESC and it's behaving normally now. I had a look through the settings on the model on the Tx that I was using and everything I could see was set the same as the new version. Strange........ (I've wiped it now so I don't choose the wrong model for the SS).
