Complete car and setup

Hi All. I've just been and visited the local tracks race night (Maritime Racing, Kent) and I'm bitten by the RC bug once again.

I'd like to start racing indoor 1/10 2WD, so I'm after a car, preferably complete and ready to go with lipo's and charger etc etc.

This is new to me so I don't want to spend too much, so after something at the beginner level that I can upgrade along the way when (or if) I get better.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Jim.

RTR

You might be better for a starter, getting a RTR, Ready to run.

I know many will say no, there not this and that. But to get started there great value for money.

and new, so no ones broken or worn out buggy, better when new as you may not get as much as a bargain as you hoped.

A TLR 22 rtr is less than 300. and also AE do the B4.1 around the same price.

good base to get going and then as you improve you can upgrade the speedo, motor, radio, suspension, bla bla bla......

just a thought.

www.apexmodels.com have a few RTR you can see online for an idea of whats about.

i have a ansmann mad monkey roller that i could add radio, esc and motor(brushed), a stick pack and a charger for £95
that would get you goin then just add a hobbywing esc motor and lipo for peanuts

Durango Ready to Race

+1 for RTR for starting

Check out Durango DEX210 or Losi 22 RTR. They both have decent electrics and can be upgraded with hopup parts if necessary.

If those are too rich for your pocket and you are only testing the water, how about http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ansmann-Ra...item5aed45f857

Put some bearings in and get a charger and lipo and you are away for less than £150 or so I reckon.

Ok, you won't win the world championships, but i'ts cheap as chips to buy and parts are dirt cheap too.

Guys - thanks for all the tips, much appreciated.

I have gone for an Associated B4.1 with all the gear needed to start plus spare tyres and a few tools and a new lipo battery. Got it for a good price so well pleased and it has only been used for about 30 mins and is in as new condition.

Looking forward now to getting it on track and having a practice!!

I'm not going to be a future world champ but I'll have some fun anyway :-)
