what spribgs, help needed.

Anybody know which yokomo big bore springs will be a close match to associated v2 silver fronts and green rears?

Thanks in advance, Danny.

There isn't one close to associated silvers. The new 2wd springs don't have ratings yet.
Associated silvers fronts are 3.85. The closest you'll get is a Losi blue which is 3.80 or a Kyosho Gold which is 3.87.

I'd just run the Losi springs. They're a perfect fit and a third of the price of the Kyosho ones. The softest Yokomo big bore front at the moment is extreme soft/pink which is 4.15.

As for rears, Green Associated are 1.90 so a Losi White 1.80 or a Losi yellow 2.00.

Unless anyone can't find a rating for the new 2wd springs then that's your best bet.

Dave

Latest ae springs have changed colours. Rear 1.9 is black.

I found the losing springs bind on the winder threads so run ae now

I took it he was talking about normal bore springs as he mentioned V2.

I have'nt had any issues with the Losi springs binding. I use Kyosho springs too.

I am using AE springs to keep continuity between my two cars and for the fact that the new BB AE springs have a great range of rates, but any of the 12mm springs should fit. However I have a couple of pairs of Durango front springs and they are too long to achieve a correct ride height even with adjuster unwound to the max so avoid these.

Thanks for the info guys, I really wanted to run yokomo springs if possible but damn near impossible to find how the spring rates compare.

Might have to buy the associated ones.

Anybody have a link to a comparison? I was hoping the yokomo super soft fronts would be comparative to the associated yellows.

Spring rate charts are on petit rc pal, BB and standard.

The charts are out of date for the yokomo springs bud. I've searched a lot :)

I think ill just have to try feel them next to each other.

On astro, I used red fronts and blue rears last year with the rear motor car. Current MR carpet set-ups include blue fronts and the new longer blues in the rear. At first, I thought that to be too soft, but after the first bench tests I think it might work. :)
