Hi, If you go to Mid West site, you will see a section on tyres. Each club have nominated tyres, which are listed.
As for number of sets, that will depend on a number of factors, weather etc, but suggest you may need a couple of sets available, but normally Dan Holmes from Pitside will be there with a good stock of tyres and other spares.
Hope you come along and enjoy the racing. Tony

Just to clarify. To see nominated tyres enter "brca mid west" in browser to get to site.
Also stock and trade tyres are Ballistic Buggy Green mini spike for wet conditions and Schumacher Yellow Mini Spike for dry conditions. There are other compounds of these tyres but these are used most of the time. Tony

Thank you for the replies.

What is tyre wear like in dry conditions using sch mini spike yellow for example, will I be able to get 1-2 meeting out of a set?

That will vary track to track & with the weather, also how hard you are pushing the car of course.

I'd always budget to have at least 2 sets of yellows, 2 sets of ballistic greens & a set of schumacher greens in stock for each meeting.
Sometimes 1 set will do all day, sometimes you might wish for a 3rd set but rarely. Most drivers will get away with 1 set at most events.

Thnaks Roger that is brilliant. Final query, last time i ran off road the norm was to use schu blue inserts is that still the same? and are the new shaped inserts any better?

Inserts are a combination of personal preference & tuning tool.

I personally like the MrO or Answer RC light blue (soft) inserts all round but some prefer a firmer insert in the front on some 4wd cars
