team bluegroove

Dont no if this is any help to anyone but i found(by accident) a company in canada called team bluegroove on ebay and they seem to make a huge selection of bodys from audi quattros to the rc10 jrx2 bodys for the gold tub nd things, just thought id mention it.

I have both sent them bodies to copy and also bought many from them. Great bunch of people and pretty good all around bodies. Some are a bit thin in places but many like the traxxas bullet body are much better than stock. Some details are less sharp. Great runner bodies. The bodies will sometimes be slightly undersized as happened with the ayk bobcat I just picked up. It fits but it just a tad small which makes it fit the roll bar tightly.

My Procat undertrays from TBG have been very good.

I've got the Kamtec version of the Procat bodyshell, also good.

TBG have been around for a few years now. They got a bad reputation at first as he used PETG instead of polycarbonate, but profits have been invested in sourcing better lexan with overspray film and in better vac forming equipment.

As backpours of original bodies they will always be a little smaller, when the original body cools after it is pulled off the original pattern it shrinks slightly, then the resin used to backpour also shrinks a little, then the new body again will shrink slightly. There are ways around this, but it does add a considerable amount to the cost of the pattern which would have to be made up with higher prices.
