neil craggs car
what are these bits of silicone insulation on neils yokomo bx shocks in this pic for ??
never seen this done or know of a reason for it ? http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/yokom...s/cragg05.html cheers garry ;) |
They are just there to identify the springs since they are silver - not sure what they actually are in that photo, maybe AE blues ? or even prototype Yokomo springs.
maybe like most pro's they strip oof the paint so that other drivers cant copy, and he has a colour coding sytem;)
To be honest, i doubt Craggy would have to go to the lengths of stripping his springs to hide his setup as he's too good :p but you never know..
Plus, I could never drive his B4 setup.... lol, and I know a lot of people are the same :P
Its to identify a stripped spring, or if he gets them all silver (test springs perhaps?) then its to identify a pair.
mystery
i would say its so he dont mix em up with the associated ones weve all done it
u dnt strip them so people cant tell what they are....u do it to mke them a little softer!
old yok springs were hard to tell apart. doing this eliminates that |
