Sx3 gearing for 6.5
 

Anyone know roughly what gearing for a sx3 with a 6.5 motor?..

I wold start with a 20 do a 5 min race then see if its got hot if it could still slowly go up 21 and so on but you shouldn't need to go past say a 23 ? Hope this helps

I presume that's with an 83 tooth spur? I also have a 76 tooth spur, what pinion would I start with with that?

Wot ever one comes with the car as Standerd mate think its the 83

Cheers, what effect would using the 76 have? More top end or more acceleration? I can't remember which way around it is

I did run 83/21 whit my sx3 and Noak 6.5 motor. No problem and good speed.

Edit: it was 81 spur gear on my sx3.

If would be faster top end with a smaller speir gear

So if I ran the 76 spur what pinion with 6.5 should I start with? 20 aswell?

With a 76 I would start with a 18 and go up from there
