Hobbywing V3 on 22 midmotor

I am in search for a new speedcontroller, So far i am leaning towards the V3.

I would like to know if there is anybody who has already tryed to fit it on the esc tray whitout making a bracket for it.

I know that the orion R10 of Dustin Evans fits and that its almost the same as the V3. But there is one big difference and that is the placement of the motor wires.
They are turned 90° on the V3 so i have to turn the esc also 90° and thats why i am not sure if it would fit.

Anyone already tryed to make it fit?

Very tidy, where are the capacitors?

the capnow sits on the servo not ideal when i get a slim servo it will sit in the gap

I have just done the same with my R10, all fitted nice apart from caps so full size servo had to go

Are you guys removing the plastic battery brad screw into the chassis then? as theres no way id have that much room with the brace and I run a low profile servo ??

Yes, the lipos don't go anywhere as the cables strapped down stop them sliding, its all nice and snug :)

I may have to brave it and remove it then.

Is V3 smaller than V2.1 esc ? I like the idea of that esc placement.
