Which 2.4ghz module?
Caught a few threads on here saying how poor the KO Module is. I've been using my Esprit III for oval for a few months but recently got a B44.1.
Had no problems whatsoever up until my 2nd Buggy meeting when the car was losing signal at the top of the hall. I have had issues also in the buggy where the receiver just doesn't bind and you have to turn the car on and off. I am guessing from previous threads that the blame lies at the door of the module. What replacement do you recommend? |
Futaba 2.4 FASST system or Sanwa FHSS. These are by far the most popular systems in 12th scale where the slightest issue will make a system glitch - these two are rock solid.
Not cheap you're going to tell me. You get what you pay for I am going to tell you!!! :) The other big advantage of these systems is that they always have a ready market and a good value if/when you want to sell. HTH :) |
I have found the RF903-FH module and KR-411FH receivers to be faultless since I moved from the older 2.4 KO system where I experienced some issues, particularly indoors.
If you want to keep the Esprit III it's the only choice imho. The 4 channel rxr's are a bit pricey but the 2 channel ones can be found on ebay for under 40 quid. The bind is rapid and works every time with no messing, I recommend it highly. |
Thanks guys.

As a temporary measure, i currently have a KO 408s receiver in my buggy, but i'm sure i read somewhere a 407s may be better? I have one sitting here, should i stick that in instead? |
