VRC - Help

Hi All,

I've been trying tonight to get on the VRC bandwagon and give it a try, problem is I can't calibrate my tranny to it.

Helpfully someone has posted a video on you-tube on how to do it but they choose to do it in silence and not actually talk you through how to do it, so its useless.

Can anyone help, it seems that only one side of the throw works, either full throttle or brake, left or right.

As I said help on here would be good please, or anyone round the Preston area that might be able to help, please drop me a PM.

Thanks very much.
Andy.

Have you set up your vrc on your control panel first ??? Not just in game ??

Which transmitter is it?

andy110m 30-01-2013 09:03 AM

Hi,

The transmitter is the Sanwa MT4, I'm using it with a sanwa receiver 92014.

I've not done anything in the computer control panel. I've only opened the VRC calibration setting which opens a windows style box, this is where is doesn't do what I'm expecting.

So idea's welcome.

Thanks.

Put the usb in first till computer recognizes it. Then attach receiver and turn on tx. Now go to devices, game controller and calibrate it. You should see dot go left to right and up and down. It will settle in middle. Apply this and it should then work. I can maybe talk you through it if you have issues :)

Mines different to that, I need the controller on BEFORE I plug the usb in. I also had to do some tweaking of the mixers on mine but that was after it was registering with the machine.

Does it recognise the new hardware being pluged in?

andy110m 30-01-2013 10:30 AM

Yes, I followed the instructions, plugged in the USB, it installed, then plugged the receiver in and switched on the tranny. Thought, great this'll be a winner, but its made no difference.

I found the menu in the control panel, the device manager, and the calibration function is the same menu the VRC program uses anyway. So I'm still no further forward.

I think I'm going to take mainamigo up on his kind offer of talking me through it. I'll PM him my number.

What was it you mentioned, Mat, about mixers? Can't see anything like that.

There were two versions of the dongle, one for analogue and one for digital receivers. Check which you have.

MatJohnson 30-01-2013 11:54 AM

That will only matter if you get it registering to be honest.

Their was some settings which needed admin rights but I can't remember. Let me have a google.

Hi,

Below is the adapter I'm using. This is becoming annoying. Danny tried to talk me through it but it wasn't doing what he said it should be.

I've tried to use a different receiver and this time it worse, nothing works.

Any of you guys having success using Sanwa products with VRC?

MatJohnson 30-01-2013 01:44 PM

What's the operating system of the machine?

andy110m 30-01-2013 03:41 PM

Hi Mat,

Windows 7 with an Intel Core I5 processor and 6Gb ram so should be plenty.

Its just the initial transmitter set up. I'm going to call a friend tonight who I think has used VRC. I've set it up on a laptop so can easily take it and related stuff with me.

Do you recognize the adapter, is it the digital or analogue version?

Thanks.

>windows
>control panel
>hardware and sound
>devices and printers
>right click the usb input device icon
>game controller settings
>properties
>settings
>calibrate

That is the sequence I'd need to do for a new transmitter on my windows 7 system, if it doesn't work what step do you break down at?
