oOple Off-Road Open Series venues & dates

More information very soon. BRCA membership is required as is a personal transponder (we may have a couple to hand out on the day if needed) and we won't support RC4 Purcy transponders, MRT transponders will be fine.

The OPEN series is just that - open to everyone. By virtue of the relaxed and fun approach it will likely stop most top drivers from entering - but there are no restrictions on the quality of drivers.

If you've never even raced before - we'll help you at every point and promise you'll have fun.

Hopefully we'll have more news to share soon. Sponsors are welcome to contact us. This series and the Invernational are wholly non-profit and not connected directly to oOple.com financially. We put everything back into the races

Love the times, no need to take Friday off work!!!!! :)

jimmy 29-01-2013 04:15 PM

Exactly our idea - you don't have to get there friday or super early. If you're driving a long way it's obviously still gonna be an early start but not so bad :)

Just what we thought Matt - leaves the Saturday morning for a leisurely start / family time / chillout, and the plan will be to finish racing in time for a relaxing evening, same again on Sunday - the local drivers can be home for teatime and those from further afield it gives plenty of time to get home the same day.

Its funny because we are both in the same room on our computers replying to the same thread in the same manner at the same time without knowing.

Astro

jimmy 29-01-2013 06:29 PM

Sorry, I forgot to mention this:

RHR WILL BE ON THE ASTRO

James 29-01-2013 06:29 PM

It will be on the astroturf..

The invernational will still be on dirt and we have another high profile sponsored meeting on the dirt too in the early part of the year, plus the 'dirty weekend' once again.. All good practice for those involved in the Worlds and Euros..!

jimmy 29-01-2013 06:31 PM

For this year right now we are not planning to have a control tyre. All tracks will be astro and the usual Schumacher mini spikes / dBoots Multibyte / Ballistic Buggy tyres should work well.

We will put together a guide closer to the time on what tyres work best and when.

Any idea on entry ££?

jimmy 29-01-2013 09:40 PM

£15 per round is what we agreed on - all the details will be with the entry form though
