haha! Thankfully "reassuringly expensive" only applies to the beer and not the trip as a whole.... doing the whole trip for 350 euro including entry and tyres... you won't do it for less than that from Ireland.

Many thanks for your messages of encouragment. And many thanks for JP and Jean-Michael for running a fantastic meeting and looking after us so well.

Derek ended up 6th in the B Final in both classes.
William was 10th in the B Final in 2wd and 2nd in the C Final in 4wd.
I have never run in a final where so many drivers were on exactly the same pace - made it near impossible to pass or gain places.

Both of us were only about 1 second a lap off the top qualifiers pace and our fastest laps and average laps were very close. An average lap improvement of about 0.4 seconds per lap would have stuck us in the A in both classes.... have to be happy with that.
The event ran 12 car finals.

Got to drive Sebastian Wartelle's winning Xray after the meeting.... no surprise why he had so much pace, the car basically drove itself.... we have work to do in this area!
