2wd buggies

Hi there, wondering what 1/10 2wd buggy to run, been searching for past month and have narrowed it down to these three, 22, sv2 or a dx210 and just wondering if anybody has any advice, thanks.

I'd say you have done your research very well and all three are good buggies. I personally use the DEX210.

Best advice would be find which local club your going to race at and see what is popular there. That way you'll get good advice on how to set your car up for that track, and there should be plenty of people with spares should you right it off :D

Any of the above, all three are good.
See what is common at your local club.

Edit - ha ha, beat me to it there boss.

thanks very much ( had my eye on the the dx210 )

Good strong car, with the gear diff option it's bomb proof. The ball diff that comes with the kit is good (did the Ebor 24hrs without being touched) but the gear diff can be fit-and-forget almost for life.

it could be the one then :D

The 210 is a very good car and with loads of excellent after market 3rd party parts to bling it up and improve the performance.
I would however say the the best advice has come from Cream, in that you should get down to your local club and see what people are running there. nothing worse than starting out and being the only one with a certain model at the club as its difficult for people to offer advice on setups and such

yeah, agreed, closest club to me is southport ( srcc ) im actually racing there tomorrow with my sx3 so ill get some advice for 2wd setups and that, thanks :)

Better still as that's the club I go too, DEX210 is an excellent choice of there. In fact I think I've spoken to you in the past about this at the club. Where you there last weekend with your Dad?

If so I'm the one that said you would be better off starting with a 2WD car, As there are a lot more heats on the 2WD section.

Lewis Simpson 26-01-2013 02:21 PM

yes i am, haha, will i be seeing you there tomorrow???

Cream 26-01-2013 02:45 PM

Yeah, I'm racing tomorrow.
