22 Rear springs cups poping off

Hi, my biggest if with the 22 right now are the bloody springs coming out of the cups after a bad landing or the cup poping off altogether...

How do you guys manage it? I dont want to spend money just to try the AVID ones tbh :(

Hi you can put a small cable tie through one of the holes in spring cup
An then around the bottom spring coil I have done this in the past an works fine

I had that issue with the silver or orange spring as they are shorter. I found that the RPM fit tighter. I use them in the back as they set the car about 1mm lower.

How about using some cable heatshrink on the lower mount to grip inside spring cup and stop the cup from moving?

You can get longer TLR springs at same rates for the 22T and 22SCT models, but can't see it helping ride height, it's obviously happening on full droop when there is no tension.

Must admit i've had it happen a few times where a spring is sat out of its perch but never lost a cup or not finished a run because of it.

thats a pretty good idea chimp. The cup doesnt come off enterely very often, only happen once or twice. The spring jumps outside the cup often tho, it kinda unbalances the car... the walls on the cups should be much taller, that would fix it...

No problem,

another idea is to superglue the cups to the bottom of springs, would mean needing cups for each spring you use and would mean removing lower ball mount to change springs but could be a good way of stopping the issue if it is happening often and effecting your results.

U can bend the bottom coil a little bit with some pliers so the spring clamps on the cup.Dont overdo it or the cup deforms when you put the spring on. I do this also on the front springs when running low ride height without limiters in the shocks. I Always mount my springs with the colored side up and bend the last coil on the other side.
