Disposing of cells

Hi,

What's the best way Gor me to get rid of old nimh batteries? I've got loads with dead cells of just dead full stop, but nervous about just chucking them in the bin in case they up pop, how to other people get rid of them?

Normal recycling collection (if council does them) or local recycling centre. IKEA also take old batteries.

bag them up seperately or cover ends with tape or take them to your local recycling centre or some super markets have battery recycling schemes or your city council may have a collecting scheme where you give your post code and they collect them to recycle

You can put them in the red recycling box/bag that the council collect.
