macnum servo broke, seek better replacement

I got my son the macnum for crimbo which is his first proper rc but now the steering has stopped working so i opened up the servo to find the plastic cogs hand lost their teeth :-( so know im looking for a better replacement preferably something with metal cogs but don't have a clue what to get so please point me in the right direction. Thanks

You could get a savox for about £55, but I run an alturn aas750mg as it has tons of torque, good response time and it's only £16:thumbsup:

don't really want to buy a servo that's worth the same as the car  ... would the alturn aas750mg be a straight replacement with out any other parts needed and does it have the metal cogs ??

Yes, metal geared, if you bought a plastic one you would be replacing it every 5 mins. You may need a new servo horn (the alturn is 25 tooth) but that would cost you £2. This is an incredibly cheap servo for the specs, and any similar one would be £50+(some ko propo ones are £140!!!)

Is there any chance you could send me some links please. Thanks

Doesn't matter, any model shop sells horns.
