O ring for 22 shock cap
 

Hi everyone,

I am trying to help a mate out with his leaking 22 shocks. I think the O ring may be nackered. I have tried to find some of these but they don't seem to be for sale anywhere on their own. Does anyone know where these can be ordered or if O Rings from another manufacturer fit?

TLR5066 is the one you need. use green slime and you can tighten them more without risking to crash the O ring.

If its shocks seals in lower part of shock again jus purchase the low friction ones from losi

Maxbashing: or are you talking about the bottom O rings?
TLR5066 are the cap seals.
Where do you live? The bottom O rings are everywhere stock.
TLR5074 black
TLR5093 grey
but if the shock leaks there you should look for the shafts too. If they are broken they damage the rings too
maybe hyper h2 ... but not available afaik

TLR5066 looks like the right think on the pictures but not when I look to buy them. It's the oring that sits inside the shock cap. I know that durango sell these seperately but i can't see any TLR ones.

You have a few options:
I don't think the o-rings themselves are available themselves, yet anyway - but you may be able to use the ones for the new SCTE bleeder cap shocks (TLR334000). Not sure they'll work though.

Or you can either buy the new alloy bleeder caps themselves, in which the o-rings are included (TLR5065) .......... or you can buy the RTR's plastic bleeder caps, that come with o-rings included (LOSA5006).

OR, you can buy the original shock bladders - and then cut out the bladder leaving you with just the o-ring like we did initially. (TLR5089)

Or skip the "inside the cap" O-ring all together and instead go for the newly released:

TLR334000 O-Rings, Bleeder Shock Cap (8): TEN, 22

Instead. These are normal often used rubber o-rings that go outside the shock body, at the bottom of the cap threads. Much easier solution :)
Ther is an article in the 22 setup sheet db on Petit RC on this as well.

Any ideas where these are available yet? Look like they could well solve the issue of trying to get the O-rings straight and level inside the shock top where you cant see or feel them.......

I opted to get them from the US (AMain) where I found them in stock.
But I guess any LHS carrying TLR parts should be able to provide.

so will these fit straight onto the 22 shock body then and you just screw the cap down to create a seal? Surely there must be some sorta little recess for these O-rings to sit in with the model they're intended for (SCT did someone say they're intended for?)
