First new post...!

Nice one Colin!

So its been a while since we discussed any rule changes - any suggestions anyone? Using a non-Mini shell? Brushless motors? Lipos? Ban 20t pinions??!

:p

Rules

Yea the first reply on the new page. As for rules, I think the 20t Pinion should be kep. Other shells other than a Mini, well I know the cost of the shells can be expensive, but I like the idea of keeping it Mini only. Lipo's could be a good way to go, will also cut down on people being so worried about getting charged in between heats, so maybe we can get through the night quicker?? Brushless I think could be too quick for the size of the hall, so we could end up with more breakages, and then the evenings will never end.

I think the rules do work well as they are - I was just playing devils advocate :)

We should probably update the rules to include the new TEU-105BK which has a built in BEC (finally!) to only shove 6v into the receiver and will come standard with any new M05 :)

You can get slow brushless motors - but I think the cost would be too prohibitive - every Tamiya kit comes with an ESC and motor anyway.

Also the list of regulations still shows the carbon gear shafts as banned - I thought we re-thought that to help with the gearbox issues we have all suffered at some point?
