oople slow and accelerator

Oople is running really slow for me ATM in all IE, firefox and chrome.

However chrome did the other day try to download a oople accelerator rar file.

any one else had this / know what to do ?

driving me mad at the min, it's fine during the day, but this time of night it can take 40+ seconds to load a page, most nights I just about give up:(, it's not my mac or my connection speed as other sites work just fine but as soon as I get back on oople dog slow again. I also seem to lose the server connection very regularly:confused:

I've had that file try to download on my PC, I'm having none of it though... Seems a bit dodgy!

I've been finding it painfully slow for a few nights now on my iPad. Other websites seem ok but even loading the new post page is a nightmare.

It's the server.
oOple is a victim of its own success. The boss is aware of the situation and is looking into new hosts I'm told.

Thank you Col.
We will be changing server very soon and at the same time there will be lots of exciting changes and updates on the site.
Sorry that it seems to be taking so long, but thank you for being patient - newoOple will be worth the wait :)

Don't get me wrong, Oople is top work, never moan about it, just agreeing that it can be slow for me, damn servers!

It's getting painfully slow, feels like I have a 56k modem again:)

Any update on this?

SlowOne 08-02-2013 06:38 AM

Awful last night, at one point a 56k modem would have been bliss for me!! :D :D

I think a 9600 baud modem would be quicker in general than this Virgin Media 20Mbps cable junk - 5 mins to look at one email, 8 mins to open a facebook page!

I am really sorry guys - this server is crap, there's no other excuse. The database for the forum is getting toward 1gb and I think it's just too much for the dated hardware.
I've picked out a server - so I'm getting there.

Is it me (I've just dumped Chrome and moved to Firefox) or is oOple working well tonight?

Danny Harrison 04-03-2013 09:00 PM
