Setting up a core pace 45r esc

Can anybody offer me any adive in setting up a core pace 45r esc using the button on the on off switch or resetting to default? I bought it 2nd hand and have installed my spektrum RX but the ESC doesnt work. I have the red light on the side of it .

I dont have any instructions for setting it up using the red button, I am using 1S can anybody give me any advice please.
