Diff oils?
 
Hi I have just changed from the b44.1 which I have drove for quite a while to a dex410v3.
I was just wondering what diff oil do you run indoors?
Is there a fairly standard setup?

i think its 7k front and 10k rear which should give a fairly balanced feel

but get yourself down to seaham and I'm sure Mr Pack will help sort you out with setups etc

Whatever combo you do, i'd run heavier at the front;)

This will let you see what the team drivers are up too and you can select the track type to pin it down....

Other way round usually, i've tried various combinations, and once the back is heavier than the front, it turns into even more of a handful! (combinations of 3, 5, 7 and 10 from what i can remember, usually 10/7 or 7/5)

a lot of TD guys run the same front and rear on polished wood i run 7k all round, med grip astro 10k all round and high grip either 12.5k or 15k all round very balance with the diffs the same!

I'v been running 5000wt in both.
It feels very balanced, but I need a little bit more Initial turn in so I was thinking of going to 7000wt front and 5000wt rear.
Will that help?

I thought that lighter the oil at whatever end would make the opposite end rotate more, so with that in mind, would a lighter oil at the rear not be better for more initial turn in???? I may be wrong and stand to be corrected with someone with more knowledge on the subject than I.

If your running 5k all round, try dropping to 3k just on the rear. Just my thoughts, as said I may be wrong though.

I know you're driving a Durango but if you download the Hudy Off Road set up book it will explain what you need to know.

You can get the pdf version here

Once you've got it page 35 will explain what you can do with different weight oils.

It's a really useful book though, sure it's aimed at 8th but it applies to everything.

thats a good shout that. had a look and that pdf is a good source of information.
