Low profile servo in 410

Hello peeps,
Im wondering as a good lot of us add weight to the rear of the 410 would it make a big difference using a low profile servo in the 410, thus maybe removing weights??

Im thinking about a savöx 1251 or orion (same thing) 1007

Does anyone have either of them installed?

Anyone tried back to back?

Thoughts?

Hi,

I have run the low profile savox in my DEX410. TBH I didn't notice any significant change in the car - the Low profile servo is only approx 10g lighter than a standard size servo.

The gears in the savox are plastic, so you should make sure that your servo saver is functioning to protect it.

TBH, I think a low profile servo wouldnt have the grunt to steer the car. I'd rather have better control than 20g less weight.

I've run low profile servos in my offroad cars since before I started at TD.

I use the KO2413 servo.. It's been bullet proof..for 8 years. It has more than enough power to steer the car. You don't really need to go mad on the torque, anything around the 6-8kg mark should be fine. Something around the 0.10s for the 0-60 transit time should be ok too.

I did try the Sanwa low profile one (recommendation from Hupo) can't remember the model number, but it was poor in comparision to the KO. One blew up halfway through it's first meeting and the other one stopped working after about 4 meetings. Both returned, money back and KO back in ever since.

In my other 410 I have the KO RSX 0ne10. There were no 2413's in stock, and this seems a very nice alternative to the 2413. Being honest, I can't tell the difference between the two.

Cheers guys
I currently run ace 1515 servo in it and am really happy with it, what a great servo.
More wondering if the little less weight would do anything for the handling, but 10gms isn't a lot when the car weighs what it does.

Do you have the servo saver set as stock? With a alu arm right?

I do have a hitec 7775 in the 210 which just got a new case as I was using it as a battery stop :eh?:

I did tho try using the 210 hex extenders +4,25 on the rear as well as 5gm on the rear hubs... haven't tried it yet... well I recommend it and let me know what you think.

I had the Savoex LP in my DEX 210, didn't work with the Tekin RS Pro.
I think the current in some cases of the Savoex is too high for the BEC of the Tekin.
No I'm driving the Team Orion LP, no problems so far.
