BBT35 Ballistic Buggy Pinks 2WD fronts

Hi,

Desperately seeking one new set of BBT35 Ballistic Buggy Pinks 2WD fronts.

Anyone got any to sell?

They're not legal in Nationals so hoping someone will have a set lying around.

Please PM if you have.

Thanks.

ben 24-06-2008 12:58 PM

Im sure they are legal in nationals? Uk ones?

millzy 24-06-2008 12:59 PM

mini pins or mini spike

Ben BB dont make a 2wd spike any more so we all run bb 4wd spikes up front

ben 24-06-2008 01:08 PM

ok just read the rules chris lol. In that case fiddybux you got a PM

They are legal as they have been commercially available at some point in time in reasonable quantities, and the tyre rule only applies to the rear axle.

Hmmm im confused. Because i thought they were legal?

millzy 24-06-2008 01:15 PM

im confused.com as well
i thougth we had to run BB 4wd on the front as 2wd BBs are not been available and havent been since the end of 2006
and the rule is commercialy available only

no they aint
commercially available applies to front axle as well just no other restriction as long as they are commercially available at the time of the meeting/series

23.7 Wheels and tyres must conform as follows:-
No form of metal or plastic spike, tubes or anything similar will be attached to the tyres. Maximum diameter allowed is 90mm front and rear. Only commercially available wheels and tyres may be used.
they may have been commercially available but arnt any more

Northy`s statement is spot on, that is how the BRCA interpret the term commercially available.

2wd BB fronts are still legal :D

millzy 24-06-2008 01:29 PM

nah im sure you will find there was a big fus at the kiddy national in 07 as it was wet and we all had to run bb pinks 4WD up front

i have the test set up from Neil in the house, why would craggy go all that way to set a car up on the wrong tyres if you can run bb 2wd fronts

Northy 24-06-2008 01:51 PM

Because he couldn't get any?

What about the tyres on the front of Danny's car at Tallywhatever, try buying those!

The rule is comercially available in reasonable quantities at a moment in time.

Oi I'll tally what ever you matey :):):)
Very true with the Danny comment its a grey area dont you think with this moment in time part

you pms are full northy

Any way Fitty, if you can tell me if there pins or spikes i can let you know
i have some BBs in the house in pink but im 99% sure there pins

Northy 24-06-2008 02:03 PM

TBH I think it's all a bit of a grey area, who can define "reasonable quantities"? And there is no definition of the time. But I guess if everything was defined to the nth degree we'd spend more time reading the rule book than racing :p

I think reasonable quantities should mean that there are levels of stock available from shops throughout the year, and the shops trackside should have some at the weekend (I don't mean enough for everyone, just enough to say 'yeah, i could've got some if i wanted to')

Fiddybux 24-06-2008 05:42 PM

So...is it therefore impossible to get BBT35? 2WD spike front pinks?

Ta.

jimmy 24-06-2008 05:50 PM

If you COULD buy it - it's legal! :)

Fiddybux 24-06-2008 05:59 PM

I'm glad we cleared that up, but I'm not really fussed about it being legal or not :eh?: .

I'd just like to buy some :D .
