"Crash Less Often."

If you have the stock system in the car it's set for blinky mode with the 13.5t. You might be able to reprogramme the esc but would need either a programming card that can change the software to stock or mod and possibly a lower wind motor (10.5) I think is lowest it can handle according to speed passion. Check out the website first to see if it can be done. I know models port do this system with a 10.5 so it may be the only option. If you do manage to reflag the software you may invalidate the warranty so be warned!

If it can then a little bit if boost may help depending on the track. I have bought this car for my son to learn with but I will upgrade to a 8.5 system when he's ready rather than mess around to much with the stock system

Thanks I will give it a go but last Saturday at the SNCC Xmas go the esc had to be reset because throttle wasn't working.

Hi,

As you run in Clubman the ESC setting must be left on blinky mode but you could run a 10.5t motor.

If you look at the lap times from the Winter GP, Alan who runs in clubman (Blinky ESC & 10.5T motor) is getting lap times as fast as the modified guys from about 3rd place down!!

The track, at the moment, does not need more power to get around quickly.

What I'd look at is your gearing, ask some of the lads running Dex210's what they are running, this can make a big difference.

Also make sure your tyres are good and your suspension is setup for the track (again ask the Durango guys for advice).

My hitlist would be:

1. Tyres
2. Suspension
3. Gearing
4. Faster motor (useless unless you sort 1-3 first!)

Hope this helps?

Kevin

Thanks Kev

Do you know were to get a 10.5t and does it make a difference that there is a hole in my front right tyre and you can see straight through to the insert.

Thanks mil
Gareth

not sure if a 10.5 works with that esc, u dont need more power, u needa learn to drive without touching pipes and not crashing wen u can do that up the power to quick to early will make u crash more and be slower speaking from experience, wen i went from brushed to brushless and nimh to lipo makes a big difference and harder to drive! i saw u at the xmas gp stick with the power u have!

Yes, a hole in your tyre will affect handling. Change them out.

get a good setup from the TD homepage or petitrc, get some pinions/spurs to play with (I've gone to 25/78 with a slowish motor)
Get some new tyres.
Crash less.

Spot on! Best way to go faster is to have good racing lines, don't crash (at all), and learn to carry speed out of the corner. 13.5 motor should be fast enough to finish well up in the Clubman Class order.

Just for info I spoke with Chris at TD today and the rtr speedo can go down to 9.5t motors so when you are ready it's something to consider.

Good luck!

do not change anything yet
practice your lines and try to get a clean lap first before trying to go faster
it is easy to think faster is quicker but

clean is quicker just practice more first and then tune it up

see you sunday

you have a very good car just get out on track practice as often as you can watch the top guys in your class and in mod to s:)ee what lines they are taking any problems just ask
