WOW mark you are so helpful :eh?:

I have been looking for a lap counter for quite some time and they are hard to catch.. Team Orion dont make them anymore and all the others seem to be too big.. Spektrum seem to be doing somthing but still not seen anything other than the Sensor part.

To be honest i have found it better to have your team mate watching and timing... least then you got someone who can give help.

iPhone has a laptimer built in and once you get the hand of hitting the button at the right time its good enough.. I am sure most mobile phones can doo the same.

Hope this helps

I'm still looking for one of these too

On the iphone you can get an app called voice lap.....start the timer then every time you cross the start/finish line say lap..or anything!..and it gives you your lap time..counts up to fifty laps......no buttons to push!:)

This is Spektrums offering but it mounts up a bit

Reader / Handheld unit

i have an original orion, not used it for a few years , but one of those things to keep, work well but normally easier to ask a mate to use a stop watch/phone

westie 31-12-2012 08:26 PM

Don't want to let it go then mark? ;)
Was offered a Alex Racing Hakarunjer same as the Orion but wanted a fair few £ lol

AMB make a handy system :woot:

or an alternative: http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/40033...ype=pla&crdt=0

there must be a cheaper I.R system on market... full size race datalogging beacons can be had for £50 but their size would be an issue for r/c

Belsten 31-12-2012 10:21 PM

Ive seen the DCD one and it looks very good with loads of functionality too
