That's exactly my thought! :o

So next question(s) would be, why, and who's replacing Stafford at X-Factory?

Danosborne6661 31-12-2012 12:47 PM

Wow, great UK support for a great car

Sadly we did see it coming..... the X7 as good as it is (and will be), is simply "not ready yet" (even after many months of vigourous testing) and Ellis needed a 4wd he can challenge with rather than have the resposability to develop - all on his own (which is more than fair enough). As he has stated in the press release, the DEX410 gives him a good chance to challenge for one of his only few goals left in racing and that is to win the BRCA 4wd title. Ellis left the XF team in an amicable and honourable way earleir this month with no bad feeling and we all would like to wish him all the best for the 2013 season with his new rides.

As to who will replace him, well you will all have to wait to see, and not in the TD thread....

Or those of us at Stotfold in December as well:)

Great news for us Durango owners, been waiting for one of the really top lads to run one for years now, no offence to the other TD boys meant either, just Ellis is one of the UK's Big 3, along with Lee and Neil, or Top 5 if Bloomfield and Boots stop playing with their stupid nitro things:lol:

I think Danny has more then a run for his money with a certain Mr Fairweather, he should be hoping George doesn't decide to do the SC Nats in '13;)

That is really good news regarding Ellis, but Craig Collinson is flying with both of his cars ATM.

Im sure Ellis decided this with alot of thought and talking with the X-Factory team. As Darren said the change was amicable and I would have thought nothing less than this giving it is Ellis we are talking about. He is trully one of the most approachable and friendly guys. I wouldnt say I know him personally, chatted to him enough about my car at Maritime, but I have known of Ellis for years since I was a kid. One of the true gents in this sport and one of the top 5 in this country without a doubt, even on a bad day !

Seeing though the speed of the 210 flying round at Maritime im sure he will be well equipped to take on the title this year. He is as fast if not faster with it than before...and that says something about his skill and adaption to a new car.

Will be good seeing Ellis with his Durango's around, hopefully I can't borrow some tips off him in the SE Regionals hehe.

<hmm. I wonder if i swapped my car for his if he would notice>
