Gold tub rc10 NIB
 

I've just been given an original gold chassis rc10 new in the box, it seems like its all there, inc body, decals and wheels/tyres, although I'll be checking it against the instructions to confirm as soon as I've opened the prezzies and eaten my own weight in turkey tomorrow :-)

I'd love to build it, but the cash would be more useful at the moment :-(

There's some silly asking prices on eBay, anyone got a realistic figure I could get for it?

Obviously, I'd be open to offers ;-)

Unfortunately it's the Cadillac version, but beggars can't be choosers ;-)

Itching to check its all there, but Christmas is getting in the way at the moment.

Any idea of the value of a complete Cadillac version?

A NIB "Caddy" can go anywhere from 120 to about 185 pound in Europe, in the US people a sometimes willing to part with a bit more for NIB's.

There to old to race in the vintage races ( and most avoid racing NIB's ) and a bit to new for the real collectors. That makes them perfect for the "non-collectors" who just want one out of nostalgia. That's why I have one myself ;)

Put it on Ebay (sell worldwide !) with a minumum of 90 quid and see what happens. Maybe wait a few months though since december is an expensive month for most.

Well, after alot of deliberation and soul searching, I've decided that it's going to have to go :cry:

I'll be puting it in the for sale section shortly, hopefully with a pic.

It's all there, the only fault I can see is the gear cover seems to be used, but in good condition, not sure how or when?

Hey Mate, just like the mid conversion kit topic... why don't you go ahead and list in the for sale section for good rather than saying recurrently you're open to offers here? It'd be more efficient for you, and also it would prevent this section from becoming a forsale board...

Ebay is your best bet to get most money out of vintage RC stuff if that's what you're after and you need the cash... go for it.

I was just trying to get an idea of the value and rarity of a couple of items that I couldn't find on the net, the rc10 has been sold via the for sale section, the conversion kit will to, probably.

All the helpful info and suggestions have been very much appreciated, I know more about RC10 gold tubs now than I ever did when I was building and racing them.

If suggesting I'd be open to offers is breaking some kind of rule, or upsetting anyone, then I'll happily refrain in future, I wasn't trying to be smart, just honest.

To be fair, I know eBay is probably the best place to maximise profit, but I'd rather sell to people who will appreciate the history and value like me, rather than possibly just giving a dealer some new stock.

As to weather I need the cash, best ask the misses, she knows everything ;-)
