B44 thicker front top deck

After ripping another ballstud out of the top deck of one of my B44's last week, I'm having the spare decks I had re-inforced with a double thickness of CF at the front.

Question is - I don't think the longest ball studs I have will be quite long enough to get the nyloc nut on fully once through the deck - any ideas on a ball stud with a longer thread? I'm running RPM ball cups on both cars.

Thanks in advance.

You can use the losi 4022 with whatever length of screw you require.

Will give it a look - thanks for the reply.

Anyone know what size diameter the Associated ball is on these ball studs? I'm guessing it's an imperial size of some sort?

The Losi ones seem to be coming up on my Ebay searches with a metric diameter - 4.8mm, 5mm, etc.

Now they look like they'll do the trick!.

Now to locate some in the UK.............

Thought that you meant that the longest .400 ones were too short, because http://www.teamassociated.com/parts/details/6278/ are readily available.

Sorry - didn't make myself clear - the longest I had in my box were the .3" version. Would just be about long enough if I turned the nut upside down so the nyloc went on first, but now I have the ASC9797's on order it'll solve the problem.
