x-6 using lipos

hi am considering getting an x-6 conversion for my b4 but am worried about how the car will handle with lipos(different weight distribution)has anyone tried lipos in there x-6?any feedback concerning how the car handles would be great .cheers:)

I've been running Lipos in my X - 6 for about six months now, and the car feels great with them. If anything, you actually get a little more rear weight bias, as you've essentially taken the two cells off the front end (most Lipo's are about the weight of four cells).

The roll of the car (because the battery is now sitting all the way across the chassis) hasn't been an issue, especially as I've moved my GTB (brushless speedo's are actually about the weight of two cells) to the middle of the chassis where the two cells used to sit.

I run mine fir the first time on sunday with a 3200 trakpower and it was good. I made a weight for the front where the two cells would sit to get the balance back. Looking forward to giving it another go:thumbsup:

front and rear wishbones , rear toe-in blocks , front under plate and top plate , maybe some rear hinge pins standard 1s will do

I'm looking forward to Lipo in the UK nationals and regionals. As Paul has mentioned about keeping the weight central I intend to buy a short servo and then have the servo, mini receiver and GTB all in a line down the centre. I think it's going to be super__neat and well balanced along with all the benefits of LIPO.

I tried a lipo for the first time at the weekend at york it was only brief but i was super impressed, i felt the car was better in the corners as well , i think some weight up front might help keep the front wheels down but for a first attempt i was impressed

Would a saddle lipo not fit in the X-6 in the same way it does in the s500 or the aero ?:) or would the weight of the electronics at the sides be more of a hassle.

I would think that a saddle pack lipo would fit across the chassis like a regular stick lipo does, but I'm not sure on that at all. You could then move the speedo to the two-cell spot to help minimize the weight off to the side.
