blue is hard, pink is soft and green is inbetween and the new yellow compound *studs* are slightly harder than schumacher yellow mini spikes i believe,

DAVIDZX5 16-06-2008 05:54 PM

there much like a Schumcher Blue

BB Yellow is also a taller tyre, may need to adjust pinion/spur ratio to suit mmpr

Do you really think the slight change in the height of the tyre is going to affect things glenn?
Cos i mean im sure the ballistic spikes are taller than a schumacher minispike and i dont think ive ever seen people changing there gearing to suit it?

Actually Ben the diameter is noticably different, step pin esque so it will defo effect roll out ratio, whether you can be asred to change is another story.

ben 16-06-2008 10:09 PM

hahaha dan that was sort of the point i was getting at

You have never raced on road have you ben

If that is the point you were trying to make then your post above wasn't very good, it looks like you were just thinking the spike height is different, which it's not as the whole body of the tyre (at least the ones I saw on Sunday) is much larger. Not in any way comparible to the difference in height od a BB spike (old style) comparred to a Schumacher mini.

I think we're all clear now ;)

indeedy dan the man
