Ko steering wheel

I have a ko Helios steering wheel transmitter, my mate has a esprit 3 stick one we are both running the same savox servos. When he steers left to right his steering is a lot faster from lock to lock than my steering wheel is there a setting I can change for this? Or is it a problem with my transmitter?

Some times it is better to have slower steering. But if you take the modular out of the back you will see a little switch mark with a H on the top for hi response and n for normal response. If it is already in hi response I have no clue, apart from putting your servo on your mates car to compare speeds. It may be it is easer to flick a stick than tern a wheel.

there is a servo slow feature on ko radios check yours isnt swithced on

i think its called steering speed and return

having a similar problem with my futaba 3pm tx and ko 2174 servo, in my X6 sq.........the travel of the steering wheel needs to be turned quite a bit to get full lock and seems a little slow as well..........is there a way to shorten the lock to speed the steering up ???

cheers :)

Dexter that's the same problem I have with my one anyone have any advice to help?

if you are not getting full lock even with tx settings on max you need a longer servo horn on the servo and move the pivot point away from the servo fixing spline

ie you get a more movement on the linkage for the same degree of rotation

hope this helps

I get full lock it just seems a bit slow for the amount you turn the steering wheel........!!!

Cheers

ok dex
check you havent got any exponential set in your tx this softens the reaction around the neutral point and you get less movement for stick reaction depending on how much expo is set it can feel like the steering is slow

also you need to check what voltage servo you are running a 6v servo requires a full 6v for maximum speed some esc regulate at 5.0v at make it seem slow lso

4.8v servos are obviusly well happy

trying not to be clever just hoping it may be something you may have missed

Forgot to mention I am running spektrum 2.4 in my ko will this increase the response time on the steering?
Would I be any better off with a spektrum steering wheel that has the module built in? If so what's the best model there are quite a few.
Thanks

i run spekky in my helios's (3 of them) have no problems as mentioned by some one before when you pull out the modules there is a switch i run mine in normal mode not HR whether ther digital not

not sure really why your mates stick radio should "appear Quicker "
