4WD tyre and insert choices

Am I right in thinking that the control tyres for the TORCH winter series are Ballistic minispikes, green for wet and white for when it's dry?

If so, can someone advise me on which inserts to use in which tyres when running them on a Kyosho Lazer ZX-5?

Also some advice on which tyres and inserts to use for Sunday morning meetings would help as i'd like to do a few of these before taking on one of your bigger meetings. Thanks to all who respond to this, hopefully see you soon!

Hopefully this will help a little bit!

Inserts: I liked Schumacher Tubby'z front and rear

Schumacher:

Wet-Some people use greens-But for me.. I never found them to work that well tbh.

Dry: Yellows all the way-TBH not sure there is a better tyre out there for the dry!

Ballistic:

Wet: I.E. lots of water I would generally run Pinks-But they are very soft and wear fast! You need to watch out for the cross over point to greens, as the pinks are so soft, once the grip starts to come. The pinks pin starts to fold over and not grab the astro.

Damp: Greens are a good should in the damp

Dry: Not sure-Never run Ballistics in full dry conditions tbh but think white is the dry compound.

D Boots

Wet: B Compound Multibytes are good-tons of forward traction, but they can make the car more edgy than. Schu/ballistics tbh

Dry: A Compound Multibytes are pritty good, tbh prefer Schui yellows as the car feels more consistant with them on. As the DBoots can make the catch a bit snatchy unless you have a good tweak on setup.

Thanks for your help, green ballistics have been ordered and I already had Schumacher yellows, ideal!!

Just bought a Durango DEX410. Do you run mini-pins or mini-spikes on the AstroTurf?
