2013 Raffle idea, opinions please
 

Good evening one and all. I have been thinking of a couple of ideas to boost the regions funds a little and give the drivers a chance to actually make some money at a meeting, and as always I would like to ask your opinions on the matter.
I was thinking of doing a raffle at each meeting, selling tickets for £1 each,I have three options..

1 - The idea being that the prize money is split 50/50 between the region and a one draw winner, so the more tickets we sell, the higher the prize.
2 - We could do a set prize fund of first prize £10, 2nd £7, and 3rd £5.
3 - We could do two £10 winners.

Meaning you could in effect win back your entry fee for that meeting.

I prefer option 2 or 3, purely because it is nice for more than one person to win

Why not just raise entry to £12 and everybody is automatically entered and then rollover if not claimed?:wub
would stop people running away before trophy presented??:cry:

Sounds like a plan, although you'd need to hope you can sell enough tickets to generate the prize money without having to top it up should the funds not equal the prize money on offer.



To help to up the regional pot I think putting the entry up for racers that wish to compete in more than one class should be considered. As they have the chance of winning more trophies and have twice as much use of the track.
