Schumacher CAT K1 1/10th Competition 4WD

The CAT K1 is an ultra modern, 1/10th scale, 4WD, Electric Powered buggy which continues the race winning tradition of Schumachers legendary CAT ‘Competition All Terrain’ vehicles.

Schumachers R & D department and highly skilled international racing team have developed a simple, yet highly efficient twin belt transmission, with optimised motor position and belt length that offers equalised front and rear drive.

The CAT K1 also features a long top deck that promotes controlled flex, improved steering geometry for millimetre perfect control plus a whole host of detailed changes and improvements making the CAT K1 the car to beat!
The CAT K1, with killer instinct!

like other cats just a little bit more "blue"

TARTMAN 05-12-2012 06:26 PM

happy

Very glad to see they have kept the belt drive. I must say it looks great and i am sure i will get one some time, but the sx3 will be mine for another season at least. Unless i get mega tempted.........

stegger 05-12-2012 06:29 PM

LMAO . So it's been sorted ! Great stuff.

Lee24h 05-12-2012 06:47 PM

Looks very good however i prefer the xray

Frecklychimp 05-12-2012 07:02 PM

Definitely got a batmobile vibe on the promo car!

Looks great, not a fan of purple so much cooler.

Shame the new driveshafts are not included

Spencer Mulcahy 05-12-2012 07:03 PM

I am really liking the look of that now where do I get £300 from three weeks before Xmas.

andys 05-12-2012 07:18 PM

On the face of it - looks similar to previous Schumacher cats. Disappointing.

Would take the X-ray over this any day - what's everyone else think ?

Sooo a wishbone crashback system?

Seriously looks great. The alloy chassis will eliminate any variables from one car to the next. If I was racing id defo choose this no hesitation.

Origineelreclamebord 05-12-2012 07:41 PM

THANKS Schumacher! Thanks for keeping the belt drive alive!

This car, eh... wow. The styling is quite daring and brutal even if the shell wouldn't be black... With the black shell it looks like a war machine, if Darth Vader would race buggies this would without a shadow of a doubt be his pick! :p

I have to say, it is for I don't really have the budget for it, but I'd love to start racing 4WD next to 2WD... However, this car will jump to the top in my list if it is as good to drive as it looks :o

PS: I'm quite surprised to say it looks this good as I've so far not been fond of all the cab forward shells...

MattK 05-12-2012 07:45 PM

I dont think you can class anything on it as "revolutionary". If you compare it to the xray which you have too with them both being released at the same time its definatly not on the same level. But in my experience any shumacher car tends to work and always be quick for club racing and always popular so maybe the xray is over engineered for teh general racer?

I'd say it actually looks quite different to any of the recent Cat's....much more simple, looks more "racing car" than the X-Ray...which IMO verges on an RTR in appearance!

Def a new person or new ground up project this one...I'm not normally a fan of Schumacher stuff, too complex and fussy looking...but this one looks pretty nice! :o

It looks like they have scrapped the big bores, The shock body's look like small bore shocks, but with BB springs.

Can anyone confirm?

BB on the option list ;) with different caps.

coleman758 05-12-2012 08:29 PM

Ive noticed quite a lot of the team running small bore shocks, looks like small bore shocks with BB springs are the way!

GRIFF55 05-12-2012 08:35 PM

Looking good! Loving the blackness too
