What happened to the TRF801XT Review?

Hey guys, I have just purchased a TRF801xt and I have been referred to the extensive review that this site offers for the kit but that specific review link seems to be the only one of the lot that DOES NOT work. Is there anyone who knows why this might be? Or if it is possible to fix? There is supposed to be a lot of very helpful information in that review and since I am having issues with my build, I hoped it can help me along the way.

I am assuming that mods do not frequent this section? The link still doesn't work for the review. Also I have found that a couple of the other review links are not working as well. Is there anyone out there that is aware of this issue? It'd be nice to get the information back up.

Thanks for the reply :-) I hope it is fixable.

Sorry, I will fix this as soon as I get my computer set up. Just got back from holiday and redoing my computer room to make it slightly less messy :)

Cool deal :-) Thank you for seeing to it man. And I understand about organizing your room lol. Mine took about three trash bags full of old electronics, plastic bits from computer cases, and random components before my room looked presentable haha.

I am looking forward to digging into the review when its all said and done though .

Hey all, I was just wondering if the link for the TRF801XT review in the Reviews&Articles section has been fixed? :-)It's still not clickable for myself.

Tamiya has killed all traces of the 8th scale cars.
I think thier main focus these days is 10th scale.
I was surprized they made 8th scale stuff, but after Ryan Lutz leaving
and going to Durango that probably upset Tamiya.
Im glad Lee Martin is still with Tamiya. I dont feel he's going anywhere.;)
I still like Lutz even thou he's with Durango. Durango makes pretty cool cars.

Yeah there isn't much of Tamiya out there these days. But they do still have their TRF801x and XT 1/8 scale cars in production.

In fact, you can get an awesome deal on a TRF801X/T in their Scratch& Dent section. Which is what I did lol.

But I am still doing research and getting setup tips before I commence the build. Plus, it is the middle of Winter and breaking-in a nitro setup is not a priority right now lol.

I was rooting for Lutz in the IFMAR Worlds this year but he had some bad luck with his Durango kit (Still think Durango is a great brand). It was kind of a shame that Durango had him go out there with a Prototype kit and ended up with a major malfunction that ended his chances in the A-main.

Still, I believe he came out of the competition with the fastest lap time. I can't quite remember if it was the fastest, but I know he had a real shot at winning if his car held up.

I still give the guy props even though he is with Durango now, and I hope to get one of his Engines to put into my Truggy :-)

Is this still being worked on? It isn't just the TRF801XT review that is missing. There are a couple of others that display the same error.

BUMP. Still hoping for a fix.

Sorry about that, there is only one Jimmy and he's trying to do too much! I'll move it up his to do list :)
Thank you for bearing with us,
Vicky

Lee runs Mugen in 8th scale and made the A main at the 8th worlds :woot:

No problems at all :-) I just didn't want to give up on the thread. Thanks for getting back to me about it.

Hiya!
Sorry for the delay - been a really busy few weeks especially with reporting from Germany and Denmark, but we're slowly getting up to date with stuff now. The review should be working now - have a look through and if you find any more errors let one of us know.
Also any more content that is missing just give us a shout and we will try to get this fixed too. There will be lots of changes to the website coming up so hopefully loads of improvement to the overall appearance and functionality.
Thank you for your patience and hope you enjoy reading the review,
Vicky

Fantastic! Thank you for keeping in touch on the issue. I was able to open the TRF801XT review successfully and I am now taking advantage of its plethora of information :-) Totally excited to see what I've been missing out on.

It looks like all of the reviews are in working order except for the "XRAY 808". That one still has a "parse error" when clicked on. I don't personally have XRAY 808, but someone else might be interested in the info :-)

I am looking forward to seeing the adjustments you are all planning for the website to take place.
