DURGA, THANKS.......

Many thanks (especially to the 'administrator' for the advice on my problem with my Durga and it's slow acceleration. I've tightened the diff and WOW, what a massive change, rapid acceleration and a whopping top speed. really appreciated. Just a quick query, the kit came with 2 gears to choose between for the motor, will the larger of the 2 gears speed things up considerably? the track we're on is very smooth with a few tasty jumps along the way.

Thanks again for you essential advice.

ps... think I'll reinstall the slipper clutch...

depends on the motor, and if it can pull the bigger pinion.

And I think we are all more than willing to help those who are willing to listen :woot:

The only motor that could pull the 23T pinion in the kit is the slow one Tamiya recommend for it - any serious motor just can't pull that kind of pinion in a buggy without cooking itself alive!

I ran a 19 turn motor on a 19 or 20 pinion in the Durga - I would run roughly the same with that LRP thing too.

I've run an 25t pinion on a HPI 17x2 motor for med size indoor track. Was quicker then a brushless 6.5 powered Durga. Was getting warm at end of 5mins but not cooking hot.
