to much weight in a car !

plus you'd need two sets of controls
car electrics, then the rudder controls etc !!

Cars are meant to be driven and jump through the air not fly though it, lol

ye never thought of that, maybe a wing without flaps so it will 'glide' over jumps further than normal

They allready make on kind of

It gos on the ground water and flys there is loads of vids on u tube
Maybe a foam basedrc car plane is the way to go

Yes i do

They are not cars really, they are just profile foam built planes made to look like cars.

So when they are driving they will be using the rudder to steer and then of course a bit of elevator to get it into the air.

Basically a plane that looks like a car!

Wing is too flexible make it more ridgid and it will be a lot better. Try and try mounting the wing above the car rather than sitting ontop of the roof. This will reduce drag coming from the air that cannot go under the wing in the middle. Mount the wing also closer to the rear axle as well to get more lift at the rear.

I remember that large airliners had a problem with too much weight and not enough wing length. They fixed this issued by adding a small vertical section on the tip of the wing. Have a look a some boeing 747 wing pictures and your get the idea.

But i would say a successful first attempt. The car deffonitly looked like it wanted to lift.

Well done.

Sorry, didnt really make it clear but the first video link is not mine. It was just showing the idea to see what people thought before i started to make one

the one james bond was a model because the real one was on a test flight and the car seperated from the wings and fell to the floor, both inside died so they went for a model

The vertical section on the end of the wing is to give extra lift by preventing the the vacuum created above the wing producing lift leaking over the end of the wing.

Very true, make a paper airplane and add wing tips/fins. You will immediately notice the extra lift. On the subject of paper aircraft, I saw an rc paper plane conversion kit online. Build a paper plane (a good one like wr paper plane or sky king), put rc bits in, then dress it up as a car with wheels etc. Like the trucks in the vid just more plane like:lol:
