What are the best RC tools, i know losi tools are great but what are the best

I've always used HUDY tools. But there are others from the likes of Arrowmax , EDS , AE and fastrax etc. Your own personal preference really.

I would imagine it is like most things; you get what you pay for. I personally like EDS and have them for my most commonly used hex drivers. I also have some cheap Dynamite ones for my less used ones and for nut drivers. Hudy look very nice but not cheap!!

I've used Hudy, EDS, Fastrax... all much of a muchness, the more expensive ones like Hudy might last a smidge longer than EDS which might in turn last a bit longer than Fastrax. Currently using EDS ones without an issue so far...

The first tools I bought were Ansmann and to be honest they were awful. They rusted and rounded off in under 3 months. I then bought Arrowmax and had two snap the tips off so I'd steer clear of those as well.

I now have a mixture of Hudy and EDS and both are very good. As the EDS are slightly cheaper and more or less as good then I would probably recommend those.

Just find your local Snap on dealer........buy once then let them replace them for free when they wear out!!!!!!!

I have been using EDS for well over 4 years now. I have only just replaced my 2.0mm driver as the tip was becoming to worn out to build a new kit. I think thats a damn good life span to be honest. Hudy are also great tools, very good quality though a bit more money than EDS.

Hi Richard, I think you might have been unlucky with the Arrowmax tools. They use the same tips as EDS, it's just the handles that are different colours.

Hi Kev, that's interesting to know as I would never have guessed that. I must just have been incredibly unlucky then as I have had no issues with EDS and if Arrowmax are the same tips...

Do Snap-on to a range of tools that would be suitable for the R/C world?

have to say i have got a set of VP Pro tools and they are AWESOME!!! I have a set of hudy tools but just decided for a change and got a set of the VP Pro tools and have to say the quality is fantastic and cheaper than huddy... really impressed

EDS Gets my vote.

Ive been using them for about 2-years now. I replaced the 2mm, Tip it was looking a litte round! but i'm happy enough though!

In two years that a fair amount of use and abuse!

Always remember a spanner is only as good as the tool that holds it:p

Iv got EDS,HUDY,MUGEN.......Mugen by far the best,apart from the handle is round and it rolls off the table:woot:

Hudy have goot tips but the handles are cheep,


EDS look the best but are a bit soft

One thing I will say is the ball type hex (so you can undo screws etc at an angle) Hudy leads the way.

As above, Snap On or hudy wont go wrong with either and Losi also good.
