Balance board?
 

Just about to buy a new charger but wondered if you actually need the balance boards (see pic) that come with them or are they just an adapter in case you want to charge 3/4/5/6s batteries?

Ideally i would like to loose the adapter board and just run the balance lead straight from the lipo into the charger.. is that possible?

Yep, its posdible to lose the balance board, that's exactly what I do with my Core UAC50 matey.
I did have to trim one lug off the plug on my balance lead but it works a treat.
