short course truck??

hi i have been looking at this to maybe try and race only just bought my 1/10th buggy but thought these looked cool aswell http://www.teamcracing.net/index.php...mart&Itemid=71

From seeing some in the flesh they seem good trucks and do look to be competetive in the right hands.

I looked at the team c range, but they are cheap for a reason. The cars are rebranded ansmanns, which aren't the most reliable/best quality, but they are good for budget racing. For a good sc, go hpi blitz, ae sc10, or tlr 22sct.
Hope this helps.

Hpi_guy 31-10-2012 08:01 PM

other way around matey, the ansmann is a rebranded team c and the cars are very good quality, i run the x2c and its fantastic, the short courses were winning and constantly making the a finals in the nationals and rob jaques ran his at the invernational and finished second

Yeah, I know about rob. The cars are incredibly low priced, and they did have simon moss on the team for a couple of years, so they are good. I just thought you would get better spares backup with a bigger name. By the way, if you read the team c/absima google translate catalogue, it says absima have decades of experience, right after they state they were formed in september 2011

Hpi_guy 31-10-2012 09:40 PM

The spares back up for these is good, abisma are the German distributors of the team c products, google translate isn't always accurate plus they may have decades of experience with other manufactures e.g. One if the members could have been a designer for losi and mugen and someone else could have been the retail manager for hpi or associated

hey guys thanks for the feedback im going to seriously have a look at the shortcourse truck it looks good and looks fun also looks alittle durangoish

Hpi_guy 31-10-2012 10:06 PM

Durango is a good option, I love my 410, it drives more like a touring car than a big off road boat

keenbutkrap 01-11-2012 01:02 PM

also been looking to try short course but the price seems silly either ansmann for peanuts or big names for big bucks or a second hand that may need repairing either £60 bashers or £300 factory team cars is there anything between

Frecklychimp 01-11-2012 01:53 PM

it depends what you want and how much you want to spend?

2WD or 4WD?

RTR or Roller?

a racer or a basher?

Well, after his x2c snapped clean in half at worksop, I think he started to miss his cougar ever so slightly...
