best vintage under 75 pounds?

What's the best handling vintage u can pick up for less then 75 pound? 2wd or 4wd I ask this cause me and a few mates are going to run vintage cars on the stock class for a good laugh but maximum we can spend to buy the roller is 75 pound. Cheers. ;)

I would say an old mardave cobru that's going to be my choice

That looks a little hi tec for me parts not easy to find on mardave there isn't any thing to break

peetbee 14-10-2012 12:54 AM

That rc10 looks nice, i'd go for it as thats what I'm running in our vintage series at caldicot
Parts are easy to find, not that you should break anything!

Can't think of many vintage cars within your budget that would go as well as the rc 10 or cobra

It depends on what sort of date cutoff you are running to. Allowing a Cobra means early 90s cars are fine, so an Associated B2 and Losi XX would be my choice of 2wd. Better performing than an RC10 and aren't popular for collectors so cheap to buy. Or Schumacher Cougar, I've picked up runnable Cougars for £20 that might look tatty but run perfectly fine.

Yeah just has to 90's or older it's nowt serious just for a laugh seen a top force but way out of budget so was a zx-r I've seen before. But a procat or losi or owt like that cheaper the better! Av got a maxxum bit rough like but don't think I could keep up with it.

There seems to be the need these days to either spend a fortune either on a new built or on lots of new parts just to have something to run, when really all you need is a used car as even using new parts it will still have lots of play in the suspension. Bought plenty of Procats, Lazers, Optimas and many others, yet never paid more than £40 for them.
There's been plenty of decent cars sold on ebay recently, including a Top Force and Lazer, for less than £50.
